Photography is my way of documenting the natural un-posed beauty of a particular place on the planet at a specific point in time.  I’m not a professional photographer by any means.  I invest in this hobby and take it as seriously as a profession.  My best friend is my Canon 7D DSLR handful of lenses and laptop.

Why I do it

Learn why Sean chooses to document life through the lens of a camera.

If you ready my article on inspiration, there’s no wrong answer why we decide to do the things we do.  My inspiration is humanity and how human culture varies between geographic areas; The difference sometimes subtle, sometimes drastic.  Photography is a way to capture a point in time where anyone can analyze, interpret and reflect on the image at hand.  Some of the most dramatic and emotional pictures have come from photographers snapping a picture when the lighting is perfect, when peoples’ emotions are showing naturally, when life just happens.

I photograph people, culture, landmarks and landscapes because all of it will change over time and memories will fade.  An image is worth 1,000 words.

Favorite type of photography

Learn what type of photography Sean likes.

I photograph people in their natural setting.  Un-posed and unknowing that I’m taking pictures shows the rawest element of human life.  The person in the picture is random, their emotion is what I’m set out to capture.

I photograph cultures and their day-to-day activities to show the rest of humanity how things were at that point in time.  Most of the time photographing culture is filled with joy, sadly unrest and distain are more common.

I photograph landmarks to give the rest of the un-traveled world the ability to see what’s out there.  I have been to destinations that I’ve never heard of and left with powerful memories of something amazing.

I photograph landscapes today because tomorrow holds no guarantee it will still be there.  Nature is constantly evolving, eroding and erasing things that once were and creating new things that have yet to be discovered.
